History

Founded by Hakop Arabajyan, Gentle Ride, Inc. established in 1996 as a non-emergency medical transportation. The operation was quite successful in transporting and notably in compliance to state regulation. Our prompt, polite and caring service has been instrumental in our success. As a result our service was appreciated and satisfied by our patients and cliental. Therefore Gentle Ride maintained business in the City of Glendale and surrounding communities within the In-Cooperated areas of Los Angeles County with the same facilities over eleven years.

During the summer of 2007, Gentle Ride, Inc. upgraded its service from a non-emergency transportation to an ambulance service. We started with two ambulances, in which only one was operating twenty-four hours a day. As business started to build, we decided to place the second one into service. Our area of service was in Glendale,Pasadena and surrounding communities within the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. One year later, we purchased two more ambulances while increasing our call volume. Shortly after obtaining our L.A City D.O.T permits, our area of operation expanded. Since our base is located in Glendale and adjacent to the 5 and 134 freeways and major streets, we are able to meet and even exceed our own Estimated Time of Arrival. As a result we now have a total of thirteen (13) ambulances including a Critical Care Transport unit equipped for CCT and RT specialty Care Transports. Ready and equipped for service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are currently focused on enhancing our service to another level. Equipped with the experience and knowledge, we have based our foundation on quality improvement (QI) which is backed up by policies and procedures. Over the years we have kept up with the ambulance business industry by updating and upgrading our service to provide higher quality of service to the society. We have advanced our operation by:

  • Purchasing new fleet of ambulances-for a better transport
  • New gurney (stretchers) for a more comfortable long distance transfer
  • Improved our training method with a more highly skilled and modern equipments
  • Upgraded our communication department, with professional dispatch programs for a more convenient way of monitoring calls, tracking our fleet by installing Global Position System (GPS) units in every vehicle. In addition, every employee carries their own pagers to keep contact at all times.

We recognize that our continuous quest to elevate our level of service year after year will provide the much needed value in patient care. Gentle Ride, Inc. continues to search for partners with the same philosophy that has driven its business over the years-compassionate care, prompt service, and value for individuals. As we continue to build our business through our excellent patient care, we confidently move forward to make our service bigger, better and friendlier.
